Enforcement mitigation or defence
If an Enforcement Officer (Fire Service or Council) or Building Control visit you and you feel uncomfortable with the way things have gone then send us a copy of your letter. We will give you some initial advice and have the initial phone conversation with the enforcement agent... for free.**
We have had interactions with a variety of Fire Services and Local Authorities and have a very successful track record in this respect.
In recent times public sector cuts have put more pressure on these agencies to save funding through redundancies. This has led to the loss of long service expertise reducing the quality of applied knowledge. This is where we have helped clients and are finding this to be on the increase.
To date none of our fire service interactions have been confrontational, just a debate offering an alternative point of view.
Where a client has previously contracted us for fire risk assessment and annual training then this enforcement service should not be required.
If the local Fire Service or Local Authority have visited you already, then we still may be able to help mitigate the effects. This is done at an agreed rate but in every case we expect there to be a saving if we are brought in early enough. In most cases our interaction is free initially and without commitment and will almost definitely cost less than entering into legal proceedings.

** Because of our qualifications and experience as career Fire Officers this is often sufficient to resolve the issue. If more help is required we will only advise you to continue if we believe our fee for further services is recoverable. If you can show our fee wasn't recovered in savings then we will refund a proportion or all of our fee to offset that under recovery.
